It annoyed me a bit in the first clip how it was, like, “Good job, whites!” to the people who did stand up to the clerk. “Thanks for saying something.” It’s just…it’s your job (our job; I’m white) to do this. I shouldn’t be thanked if I intervene and then praised for it. It’s like a trained boxer getting into the middle of a punching match to defend some helpless person getting bullied; “Thank you. I mean, clearly you didn’t really have a lot to risk as you know how to fight and this other person was going to back off as soon as you stepped in, but thanks for that.”
